ComfortDelGro‘s carbon emission reduction targets have been officially approved by the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTI), in a first for a Southeast Asian land-transport operator, the Singapore-listed company said in a filing to SGX Monday.
The carbon emission targets include a 54.6 percent cut to absolute scope 1 and scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions from operations, and a 61.2 percent cut in absolute scope 3 emissions from fuel and energy-related activity by 2032 from the baseline of 2019, before Covid-19, the filing said.
