Addvalue Technologies has entered a tie-up with Synspective, a satellite data and services provider, for delivering high-quality imagery in challenging disaster environments, according to a filing to SGX Wednesday.

The partnership will use Addvalue’s inter-satellite data relay system (IDRS) implemented over Inmarsat’s satellite network to provide fast delivery of data from Synspective’s planned constellation of 30 Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites, the filing said.

Toshihiro Obata, a director at Synspective and general manager of the satellite system development department, said in the statement: “In the aftermath of a natural disaster, high-quality data is required as quickly as possible. We believe that Addvalue’s IDRS can enhance the management, responsiveness and efficiency of our SAR satellites by delivering task orders and checking the status across our constellation.”
