DBS said Wednesday it expanded its tie up with small business software company Xero to make it easier for Singapore and Hong Kong SMEs to apply for loans by sharing their records on Xero’s platform.

“Customers will be able to present a more holistic picture of their cashflow which in turn enables the bank to offer SMEs hyper-personalised credit terms and working capital limits tailored to their needs,” the companies said in a press release.


UOB The Finlab, which is the Singapore bank’s startup accelerator program, has launched a program for supporting greentech providers both regionally and globally, with an initial focus for the first cohort on energy efficiency, zero-waste supply chain, and carbon management and reporting, the program said in a press release Thursday.
