Singapore company briefs: Yangzijiang Shipbuilding (Holdings), Sin Heng Heavy Machinery and TEE International.

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding (Holdings) said Monday its independent director Teo Yi-Dar was asked to assist the Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) of the Singapore Police Force with its investigation of TEE International.

Teo, who was not asked to surrender his passport, is a non-executive non-independent director of TEE International, Yangzijiang said in a filing to SGX.

“The matter mentioned above is not related to the company and the business and operations of the group are not affected by the investigation,” Yangzijiang said. “The board has also assessed the circumstances giving rise to the matter and as at the date of this announcement, the board opines that Mr. Teo is able to fulfil his duties professionally.”

Sin Heng Heavy Machinery and TEE International

Sin Heng Heavy Machinery said Monday its non-executive non-independent director Teo Yi-Dar was asked to assist the Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) of the Singapore Police Force with its investigation of TEE International.

Teo, who was not asked to surrender his passport, is a non-executive non-independent director of TEE International, Sin Heng said in a filing to SGX.

Sin Heng noted the matter is not related to the company and its operations won’t be affected by the investigation.
