Singapore company briefs: SIA Engineering, Shinvest Holding, Yongmao Holdings and Hong Lai Huat.

SIA Engineering

Jamco Aero Design & Engineering (JADE), which is a joint venture between JAMCO Corp. and SIA Engineering, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Singapore Polytechnic to set up a flammability test aviation laboratory and data center in Asia Pacific, JADE and the school said in a filing to SGX Thursday.

Shinvest Holding

Shinvest Holding said Monday it has appointed Provenance Capital as the independent financial adviser to advise its independent directors on the voluntary conditional cash offer from a management-led group. 

VTTSG Holding has offered S$3.50 a share in cash for the company, conditional on the offeror and concert parties holding more than 50 percent of Shinvest’s shares. 

Yongmao Holdings

Yongmao Holdings said Monday that Hoon Chee Wai, an independent director of the company, has been asked to assist and attend an interview with the Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) of the Singapore Police Force in relation to an investigation of TEE International over a possible offence under the Securities and Futures Act.

Hoon, who is currently an independent director at TEE International, has not been asked to surrender his passport, the company said in a filing to SGX.

Yongmao noted the investigation is not related to the group.

Hong Lai Huat

Hong Lai Huat said Monday it has launched its agricultural Hub, located between Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville, in Cambodia, near the kingdom’s only deep-water seaport; the hub’s land size is around a seventh of the size of Singapore, the company said in a filing to SGX.

In addition, Hong Lai Huat said it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) to attract Singapore companies to expand into Cambodia.
