Singapore companies announcing executive changes: Chip Eng Seng, Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand), Samurai 2K Aerosol and CNMC Goldmine Holdings.

Chip Eng Seng

Chip Eng Seng said Monday it appointed Law Cheong Yan, age 50, as group chief corporate officer and chief operating officer of the education division, effective Monday. 

Law had joined the company as group chief financial officer in 2013, the filing said. 

As group chief corporate officer, Law will manage mergers and acquisitions, investment, corporate exercises and functions related to information technology, payroll and risk management, and he will jointly manage the fund-raising and treasury functions with the group chief financial officer, the company said.

Kenny Yong Shan Siong, age 42, has been appointed group chief financial officer, effective Monday, the company said in a separate filing to SGX. He has been deputy CFO since September 2021, and from 2018 to 2021, he was the group finance director and regional financial controller of Sea Ltd., the filing said. 

Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand)

Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand) said Monday Dr. Sarana Boonbaichaiyapruck, age 62, has resigned as an independent director, effective 14 January, due to his other business engagements.

Sarana holds 170,000 shares of the company, according to a filing to SGX.

Samurai 2K Aerosol

Samurai 2K Aerosol said Monday it appointed Hanifah Binti Abdul Hamid, age 41, as financial controller, effective Monday. She was the finance manager at the company since February 2018, the company said in a filing to SGX.

Hanifah holds 165,000 share options in the company, the filing said.

CNMC Goldmine Holdings

CNMC Goldmine Holdings said Monday it has re-designated Gan Siew Lian, age 56, as a non-independent non-executive director from an independent director, effective 1 January, as she has been on the board for more than nine years and is no longer considered independent. 

She has been a director since 2012, the company said in a filing to SGX.
