Teo Yi-Dar (Zhang Yida), age 50, has tendered his resignation as independent non-executive chairman of HG Metal Manufacturing, effective 15 January 2022, for personal reasons, the company said in a filing to SGX Thursday.

He was appointed to the role in 2014, the company said.

“The company would like to extend its gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Teo Yi-Dar (Zhang Yida) for his past contribution as director,” HG Metal Manufacturing said.

HG Metal Manufacturing said Kesavan Nair, age 57, will be re-designated as independent non-executive chairman from independent director, effective 15 January 2022. He was last reappointed as an independent director in April 2021, the filing said.

From 2017 to the present, Nair has been the director of Bayfront Law LLC, and from 2008 to 2017, he was the director of Genesis Law Corp., the filing said.

HG Metal Manufacturing said Thursday it appointed Ng Kate Jain, age 48, as independent non-executive director, effective 31 December. She has been a senior director of UOB Venture Management from April 2015 to the present, the company said in a filing to SGX.

HG Metal Manufacturing is one of the largest steel distributors and processors in the Southeast Asian region.
