Singapore substantial shareholder changes: Ascendas India Trust and Kabouter Management, ComfortDelGro and Columbia Threadneedle Investments UK International, and The Straits Trading Co.

Ascendas India Trust and Kabouter International Opportunities Fund II LLC

Kabouter International Opportunities Fund II LLC disposed of 3.12 million units of Ascendas India Trust in the market for S$4.29 million, taking its interest in the trust to 5.974 percent from 6.244 percent previously, according to a filing to SGX Tuesday.

In a filing to the U.S. SEC in May, the fund said it took in US$1.71 billion in investments and had a minimum investment of US$500,000. The U.S.-based Kabouter Management’s website said Kabouter specialises in international small caps.

ComfortDelGro

Columbia Threadneedle Investments UK International became a substantial shareholder of ComfortDelGro, effective 8 November, holding a deemed interest in 137.10 million shares of the Singapore-listed land-transport company, or a 6.326 percent stake, according to a filing to SGX Tuesday.

The transfer of shares was related to U.S.-listed company Ameriprise Financial acquiring BMO’s EMEA Asset Management business, effective 8 November, the filing said.

Columbia Threadneedle Investments UK International is part of the Ameriprise Financial Group, the filing said.

Straits Trading Co.

Tan Tiong Cheng, an independent non-executive director of The Straits Trading Co., acquired 10,000 shares of the company for S$3.30 a share in an off-market transaction on Monday, taking his interest to 0.03 percent from 0.028 percent previously, according to a filing to SGX Tuesday.
