Singapore companies announcing executive changes: Jardine Cycle & Carriage, Mapletree North Asia Commercial Trust, Ntegrator International, Hatten Land and Oceanus Group.

Jardine Cycle & Carriage

Jardine Cycle & Carriage said Wednesday Vimala Menon, age 67, would step down as non-executive independent director and lead independent director, effective 30 December.

She has served as a director for more than nine years and is stepping down as part of the board renewal and succession plan, the company said in a filing to SGX. She was appointed to the current position in 2017, the filing said.

Anthony Nightingale, age 74, will be re-designated to non-independent non-executive director from independent director, effective 1 January, Jardine C&C said.

Nightingale, who was appointed in 1993, has served on the board for more than nine years and wouldn’t be considered independent under SGX rules, the filing said.

He holds 6.1 million shares of PT Astra International, which is controlled by Jardine C&C, the filing said.

Mapletree North Asia Commercial Trust

Mapletree North Asia Commercial Trust‘s manager said Wednesday it appointed three independent non-executive directors.

Chua Kim Chiu, age 67, was appointed to the role, effective Wednesday. He has been a professor for the accounting department at NUS Business School at the National University of Singapore since July 2016, the trust said in a filing to SGX.

Chiang Sui Fook Lilian, age 65, was appointed to the role, effective Wednesday. She has been a senior partner at Deacons – Hong Kong Special Administrative Region since July 2004, and she is head of its property department, the filing said. She holds 30,000 units of the trust, the filing said.

Pascal Jean-Louis Lambert, age 62, was appointed to the role, effective Wednesday. He has been the group country head and CEO for Singapore at Societe Generale from September 2012 to September 2021, the filing said.

Ntegrator International

Ntegrator International said Wednesday it appointed Tao Yeoh Chi, age 69, as independent non-executive chairman and independent non-executive director, effective Wednesday.

Tao has been with Universe Group (Singapore), which is in the process of being stricken off, from 2007 to the present, the company said in a filing to SGX.

Hatten Land

Hatten Land said Wednesday Foo Jong Han Rey, age 55, would retire as independent director, effective 30 December.

He has served the board for more than nine years and would like to step down from the appointment to facilitate the board’s renewal, the company said in a filing to SGX. Foo was appointed in 2006.

Melaka-based Hatten Land is a Malaysian property developer, specialising in integrated residential, hotel and commercial developments; it is the property development arm of property-to-retail-to education conglomerate Hatten Group.

Oceanus Group

Oceanus Group said Wednesday Eugen Chua, age 43, would resign as non-independent non-executive director, effective Wednesday, to allow him to focus on his role as chief investment officer of CFAM. He was appointed to his role in 2019, the company said in a filing to SGX.

Eugen Chua holds 3 million shares in the company directly and is deemed interested in 258.29 million shares held by EMEC Holdings, the filing said.

Cleveland Cuaca, age 26, has been appointed as non-independent non-executive director to replace Eugen Chua, the filing said. Cuaca is the executive director and majority shareholder of Alacrity Investment Group, a substantial shareholder of Oceanus, the company said. He has a deemed interest in 3.55 billion shares, or an around 14.59 percent stake, held by Alacrity Group, the filing said.

Cuaca will be exploring opportunities for further business development and collaboration between Oceanus and his other ventures, the filing said.

Oceanus engages in food production, distribution and services. It operates one of the largest land-based abalone farms globally and its product range includes fish and crustaceans. Its distribution segment trades raw materials and fast-moving consumer goods. Oceanus also provides consulting on aquaculture, asset management, marketing and branding.
