Singapore companies announcing executive changes: KTL Global and Tritech Group.
KTL Global has appointed Wu Yongqiang, age 43, as non-executive non-independent director and non-executive chairman, effective Tuesday, the company said in a filing to SGX Tuesday. Wu is currently an advisor to the company, the filing said.
Wu is deemed to be interested in 40.25 million shares, or a 12.75 percent stake, of the company held by his spouse, Zhang Xuemei, the filing said. The deemed shares include 16.8 million shares to be acquired by Zhang under an agreement on 26 February which has not been completed as the company’s shares are suspended, the filing said.
In addition, Chng Hee Kok has been re-designated as the vice chairman of the board, and will remain the lead independent director of the company, KTL Global said.
KTL Global operates in sales and distribution of fresh vegetable and fruit produce in Southeast Asia. The company also provides brand management services in China.
Tritech Group said Tuesday Dr. Loh Chang Kaan, age 52, would step down as non-independent non-executive director, effective 31 December, to spend more time on his consultancy work. He holds 33.20 million shares of the company, the filing said.
Ong Eng Keang, age 55, will be appointed as an independent director, effective 1 January, Tritech said.
From 2018 to the present, Ong has been the chief financial officer of Vena Energy, the filing said.
