Keppel Shipyard lands two contracts valued at S$200M

Keppel Offshore & Marine, via wholly owned subsidiary Keppel Shipyard, has won contracts for two projects, including conversion of a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) and integrating a Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessel (FPSO).

Keppel Shipyard has a limited notice to proceed (LNTP) with a global provider of LNG Shipping services to begin converting a liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier into an FSRU, including engineering work to begin in the fourth quarter, the company said in a filing to SGX.

The full notice to proceed (FNTP), covering the rest of the work, is expected in the first quarter, as the project reaches a final investment decision, Keppel said.

For the second project, Keppel Shipyard has a letter of award (LoA) from BW Offshore, a wholly owned subsidiary of BW Group, for integration work on a newbuild FPSO, the filing said, noting the formal contract is expected to be signed by early 2022.

Under the deal, Keppel Shipyard will integrate around 35,000 tons of topside modules and a turret, with the possibility of fabricating structures, such as a flare tower, te filing said.
