Executive moves: Nutryfarm taps Ace Peak Capital’s Lee as executive director; Medtecs taps CFO

Singapore companies announcing executive changes on Wednesday, 17 November 2021: Medtecs International and Nutryfarm International.

Nutryfarm International

Nutryfarm International said Wednesday it has appointed Levin Lee Keng Weng, age 54, as executive director for fund-raising and managing investor relations, effective Tuesday.

“A seasoned finance and investment professional, Mr. Levin Lee is also a director of Ace Peak Capital Group Pte. Ltd., a Singapore incorporated company, which is principally a private equity investment company, advising on strategic investments and operational activities,” Nutryfarm said. “Mr Lee is the fund manager of Sino Pacific Capital Limited, a Hong Kong registered company, managing a private equity fund with assets under management of US$100 million, investing mainly in equities in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Hong Kong.”

In addition, Leong Choong Cheng has been hired as the head of the CEO office, to support the executive director and CEO in implementing strategies and coordinating new business relationships, Nutryfarm said in a filing to SGX.

Leong is a supply-chain industry veteran, with expertise in supply-chain management, e-commerce, distribution, logistics and port operations, particularly in China, the filing said.

Cheng Meng, executive director and CEO of Nutryfarm, said Leong’s experience will improve the company’s supply chain functions and enhance efficiency.

“As NutryFarm continues to grow, leadership support will become more important than ever. Supply chain management is a vital part of our fresh fruit business operations,” Cheng said.

Medtecs International

Medtecs International said Wednesday Chief Financial Officer Wilfrido Candelaria Rodriguez, age 74, would resign, effective 30 November.

Rodriguez, who was appointed to his position in 2008, will take a part-time position as a consultant to the group to facilitate the handover of his duties to a new chief financial officer, who will be appointed effective 1 December, Medtecs said in a filing to SGX.

James Lin Yi-Ching, age 53, will take over as chief financial officer from 1 December, Medtecs said in a separate filing.

Lin has been head of the group management office at Medtecs from February 2017 to the present and was the head of the planning department at BankTaiwan Life Insurance from November 2010 to February 2017, the filng said.
