Ho Bee Land

Ho Bee Land has tapped Chua Wee-Chern Nicholas, age 45, to become CEO and executive director, effective 1 January 2022. Chua Wee-Chern Nicholas has been the company’s deputy CEO since October 2018, and has been with the company since 2002, Ho Bee Land said in a filing to SGX Monday.

“As the deputy CEO, he has been spearheading the expansion of the group’s development footprint in Australia and China and the growth of our investment portfolio in Europe and the United Kingdom,” Ho Bee Land said in a statement.

The CEO designate is the son of Chua Thain Poh, the executive chairman and controlling shareholder of Ho Bee Land,  the filing said.

Chua Wee-Chern Nicholas holds 3.07 million shares of the company, the filing said.

Chua Thain Poh, age 73, will step down as CEO, effective 1 January 2022, and will be redesignated as executive chairman, Ho Bee Land said.

In addition, Ho Bee Land said Desmond Wong Choon Leng, age 66, would be retiring as executive director, effective 1 January 2022. Desmond Wong Choon Leng, who holds 2.1 million shares of Ho Bee Land, was appointed to his role more than 20 years ago, the filing said.

Woon will take on the role of senior advisor to the company, the filing said.

HG Surgical Specialists

HG Surgical Specialists said Tuesday Cai Ting Ting, age 39, would be redesignated to senior nurse executive, from chief nursing officer, effective 15 November. The change was due to Cai Ting Ting requesting to reduce her current work commitments for personal reasons, the company said in a filing to SGX.
