Singapore executive moves Wednesday: OCBC, DBS, Cromwell European REIT, SIIC Environment, Amcorp, Forise

These are Singapore companies which announced personnel changes on Wednesday 15 September 2021: OCBC, DBS, Cromwell European REIT, SIIC Environment Holdings, Amcorp Global and Forise International.


OCBC said Wednesday it tapped Tan Teck Long, age 51, as head of global wholesale banking. Tan is currently chief risk officer at DBS, and his previous roles included head of corporate bank and head of institutional bank China at DBS, OCBC said in a filing to SGX.


DBS Group said Wednesday Tan Teck Long, the group’s chief risk officer, resigned to pursue a customer-facing role in another organisation, effective 12 March 2022.

A successor will be named in due course, DBS said in a filing to SGX.

Cromwell European REIT

Cromwell European REIT said Wednesday Ooi Eng Peng, age 65, will be appointed non-independent non-executive director, effective Wednesday, while Michael Wilde will be resigning from the role.

Ooi has more than 35 years of experience in the real estate sector, and has been deputy chair and non-independent non-executive director at ESR-REIT, Cromwell European REIT said in a filing to SGX.

Wilde, age 52, who is acting CEO of Cromwell Property Group, will resume his role as chief financial officer at the REIT’s sponsor, effective 5 October, the filing said.

SIIC Environment Holdings

SIIC Environment Holdings said Xu Xiaoqing has been appointed as deputy general manager, effective Wednesday.

Xu, age 42, is mainly responsible for internal audit functions and she has been serving as director of the audit department and chairman of the labour union and since 2019, she has also been a director of Longjiang Environmental Protection Group, a subsidiary of SIIC Environment, the company said in a filing to SGX Wednesday.

Amcorp Global

Amcorp Global said Wednesday it has appointed Kamil Ahmad Merican, age 78, as independent non-executive director and a member of the audit committee, effective Wednesday.

Kamil was the founding partner at GDP Architects, a leading design and architecture firm in Malaysia, and is currently an independent director of Amcorp Properties Bhd., the property developer said in a filing to SGX.

In addition, Tay Beng Chai, age 60, was appointed as independent non-executive director and as a member of the audit committee and nominating and remuneration committee, Amcorp Global said. Tay is currently managing partner at Tay & Partners, the filing said.

Forise International

Forise International said Wednesday Chin Sin Beng, age 64, has resigned as independent non-executive director, effective Tuesday due to increased work commitment at his office. Chin was appointed to the role in November 2019, the company said in a filing to SGX.
