MeGroup’s wholly owned subsidiary Menang Nusantara has renewed its agreement with Japan-based Hirotani to continue using their technical expertise in manufacturing for an additional five years, the Malaysian company said in a filing to SGX Monday.

Hirotani has expertise in manufacturing noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) auto components, the filing said.

MeGroup said that with Hirotani’s assistance on NVH components, Menang Nusantara would be able to keep bidding for future manufacturing projects.

“Our partnership with Hirotani continues to be strong and we are pleased to work closely with them to improve our processes in the manufacturing of NVH components. Being able to leverage on their technical expertise and knowledge in this field has allowed us to be at the forefront of our manufactured products,” Carol Wong, executive director of MeGroup, said in the statement.

She said the company would continue to focus on “lean manufacturing,” to increase efficiency, while also investing in new technologies.
