HKEx and London Stock Exchange

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, or HKEx, has made an around 29.6 billion pound (S$50.47 billion or US$36.58 billion) takeover bid for the London Stock Exchange Group in a move that would combine the largest financial centers in Europe and Asia, the Hong Kong exchange said Wednesday.

Sembcorp Industries

Sembcorp Industries has entered a deal to provide locally-sourced renewable power for UBS’s Singapore offices over the next 10 years, the two companies said in a filing to SGX Thursday.

Singapore Exchange

Singapore Exchange entered a deal for deeper cooperation with Chongqing Municipal Financial Regulatory Bureau to encourage capital flows and enterprise fundraising, the exchange said in a statement Wednesday.

September Supporter Pledge Drive

DBS

DBS is aiming for its assets under management to grow 7 percent to 8 percent a year for the next few years, which would bring it to S$300 billion by 2023 from around S$234 billion currently, the Business Times reported Thursday, citing Lim S. Sim, the bank’s head of consumer banking and wealth management.

Ascott Residence Trust and Ascendas Hospitality Trust

Ascott Residence Trust and Ascendas Hospitality Trust said Wednesday the first court hearing date for their proposed merger would be 16 September.

The court’s leave is needed for the two REITs to convene meetings for shareholders to approve the merger, the trusts said in a filing to SGX.

Keppel DC REIT

Keppel DC REIT will be added to the FTSE EPRA Nareit Global Developed Index, effective 23 September, the data-center-focused REIT said in a filing to SGX Wednesday.

Sunpower Group

Sunpower Group has landed 55.7 million yuan (S$10.8 million or US$7.83 million) of manufacturing and services contracts from repeat customer Sinopec Group, the Singapore-listed company said in a filing to SGX Wednesday.

Dasin Retail Trust said Thursday the 82.35 million new units issued at S$0.836 each under its private placement will begin trading on SGX at the market open.

That will bring the trust’s total number of units to 643.70 million, Dasin Retail Trust said in a filing to SGX.

Synagie Corp. reported Wednesday the gross merchandise value for its sales during the 9 September 9.9 online-shopping event rose more than 300 percent on-year to more than S$1.0 million.
