Sunpower Group said Thursday it was selected as the exclusive supplier of a cryogenic pipeline support system for one of the event venues for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
Under the project, Sunpower will provide a low-temperature, anti-vibration and adjustable pipeline-support system for the liquid ammonia cryogenic cooling system of the National Sliding Centre, which will host the bobsleigh, skeleton and luge sliding events, the company said in a filing to SGX.
Sunpower said it was the first time its proprietary system has been applied to an Olympic ice track.
“This testifies our ability to supply superior high-quality equipment and solutions beyond our traditional industries to include world-class sporting venues,” Guo Hongxin, executive chairman of Sunpower, said in the statement.
“The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics is an excellent global platform to showcase Sunpower’s expertise and brand to an international and domestic audience,” he added.
