China Everbright Water said on Wednesday that it obtained a concession and waste-water treatment service agreement in Jiangsu Province, China after signing an agreement with the management committee of Jiangyin High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
It secured the Jiangyin Waste Water Treatment Project (Binjiang Plant 2) and ancillary pipeline project, which has an investment of around 230 million yuan, China Everbright Water said in a filing to SGX after the market close on Wednesday.
The Jiangyin Binjiang Plant 2 and the pipeline project will be on a build-operate-transfer model, with a concession period of 30 years, the filing said.
The project includes a waste-water treatment plant with a daily capacity of 40,000 cubic meters, 2.97 kilometers of pipeline network and an ancillary pump station with a daily treatment capacity of 10,000 cubic meters, it said.
An Xuesong, executive director and CEO of Everbright Water, noted that company has been involving in building and operating multiple waste-water treatment facilities in Jiangyin City.
“The securing of Jiangyin Binjiang Plant 2 and pipeline project will help to alleviate the local demand for waste water treatment, and enable the company to optimize the planning and synergies of its waste water treatment facilities in the city. This will improve the overall waste water treatment efficiency and boost benefits accordingly,” he said.
