China Jinjiang Environment said on Tuesday that it secured a concession from the local government to build, own and operate a waste-to-energy facility in Leting County in Hebei Province.
The Leting WTE project has an estimated total investment cost of around 330.1 million yuan, or around S$65.5 million, with construction expected to be completed at end-2020, it said in a filing to SGX after the market close on Tuesday.
The investment will be funded via a combination of bank borrowings and internal resources, it said.
The project will be under a build-own-operate model for a total concession period of 30 years from the start of construction, with an operation period of 28 years from the date commercial operation begins, it said.
The total designed waste treatment capacity is expected to be 450 tons a day for municipal solid waste, 100 tons a day for other types of solid waste and 60 tons a day for sewage, China Jinjiang said.
