Lippo Malls Indonesia Retail Trust’s manger has re-appointed Gouw Vi Ven as its executive director and CEO, with effect from 5 October, it said in a filing to SGX after the market close on Friday.

Gouw, age 62, was previously CEO of LMIRT Management from the listing of LMIR Trust in 2007 through April 2013, when she stepped down as CEO, but remained executive director through March 2017, it said.

“Ms. Gouw comes with stellar credentials, with more than 25 years of experience in management, marketing and sales in the real estate industry,” the statement said. “She also played an integral role as President Director of PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk, the Sponsor of LMIR Trust, in propelling the group into the largest listed property company in Indonesia by asset size.”

Gouw will take over from Chan Lie Leng, who resigned on 31 August, it said. Chan’s departure, announced in July, was to a family commitment, the trust manager had previously said.

In addition, the trust manager also re-designated Liew Chee Seng James, age 46, the chief operating officer, as deputy CEO of the trust manager, with effect from 5 October, it said.

Liew was appointed chief operating officer in June 2018 and was previously the senior director of corporate finance and asset enhancement at Lippo Group from September 2015 to May 2018, the filing said. At Lippo Group, he worked on real estate projects in Indonesia, it said.
