Keppel REIT Management said on Friday that it appointed Paul Tham, age 36, as CEO, with effect from 1 January 2019, replacing Tan Swee Yiow, who will become CEO of Keppel Land on the same date.

Tham is currently the deputy CEO of Keppel REIT Management as well as the chief financial officer of Keppel Capital, which is Keppel Corp.’s asset management arm, it said in a filing to SGX on Friday after the market close.

Tham has been with the Keppel Group since 2014 and played a role in forming Keppel Capital, where he has been CFO since 2016, Keppel REIT’s manager said.

“Paul has been identified and groomed as part of Keppel REIT’s succession planning initiative. He was involved in the management of Keppel REIT’s business operations since his appointment as deputy CEO early this year,” Penny Goh, chairman of the REIT manager, said in the statement.

The REIT manager’s current CEO, Tan Swee Yiow, age 58, will continue as a non-executive director, it said.
