Crude palm oil futures in Malaysia end higher into long weekend

Bursa Malaysia front-month palm oil futures for November rose 1.4 percent to 2,248 ringgit ($547.22) a metric ton on Thursday  on volumes of 42,591 lots of 25 metric tons each. Markets in Malaysia close for a national holiday on Friday.

Traders are looking at a weaker ringgit and rising palm oil production forecasts as cues for the price outlook. Next month, Indonesia will expand its use of biofuels mixed with diesel, boosting demand.
